Aboriginal Development

Supports Indigenous families with children from birth to 6 years who have been identified with developmental concerns or are at risk for developmental delays.

Ages: 0 to 6 years

The early years are a key time for a child’s growth and development; they are foundational for the skills that he/she will acquire in the future. Our Infant Development Program is here to provide early intervention services to help maximize a child’s development.

Who should be referred to our Aboriginal Development Program?

Any child who is between the ages of birth to 6 years of age with whom there are concerns regarding their development in the areas of language, social skills, general motor development, and/or cognitive development.

Referrals: Parents/guardians can make a referral directly to our program, as well as doctors, nurses, social workers, and others who have concerns. Referrals should be made only with the parent/guardian knowledge and consent.
