The Fort St. John Child Development Centre (CDC) believes in the potential of all children and is dedicated to the individuals and families we serve. Founded in 1973 by a group of concerned parents, the CDC is a non-profit organization that now offers a wide range of services in early intervention programs and support to children with special needs.
Our unique facility houses a hydro-therapy pool, Snoozelen room, two Early Learning classrooms (preschool), as well as several therapy rooms for speech, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Our new wing will also offer an accessible gymnasium and several more office/therapy spaces to better meet the needs of our families.
Through the tremendous support from parents, volunteers, businesses and the community the CDC has grown from its humble beginnings to a leader in early childhood development and children’s services in our area. It is through these partnerships that we endeavor to continue to pursue excellence in meeting the service needs of the children and families we serve.
