Special Services Program

Special Services organizes three different programs for children and youth from birth to the age of 19 years who meet the eligibility criteria.

Ages: 0 to 19 years

This program provides a short-term break for families who are caring for children and youth with special needs.  As well, the Special Services program provides skills training and development.  These skills enable the children help children become more independent and involved in the community.  

K.A.M.P.—(Kids Are Most Precious)

This is a summer recreational program that runs during July and August. It provides a safe, fun-filled summer for children with special needs. The activities are designed to meet the needs of the individual child with the focus on fun, fun, fun!

All of the Special Services programs are available to children and youth from birth to the age of 19 years who qualify for Children Youth Special Needs Services.

Referrals: All referrals for this program must come through the Ministry for Children and Family Development, please contact their office at 250-263-0121 to be referred for these services.

Eligibility Criteria:

Diagnosis of Autism, or
Mental disability (IQ below 70)
Eligible for the At-Home Program (Respite or Medical)
