Hello Families and Friends of the CDC,
I would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our families, children, staff and board for your remarkable adaptability and perseverance shown during these unprecedented times. I am happy to report Phase 2 of our Recover Plan, which offered modified serviced delivery, was a great success and has allowed us to move forward to Phase 3 starting in July.
Phase 3 will offer an increase in face to face service delivery and allow for families to access our centre with restrictions in place regarding number of occupants and scheduled times of service. Virtual services and online resources will still be included in our delivery model, so please stay tune for updates on our Facebook page and website. With increased numbers of people accessing the building, we are following the guidelines recommended by the Public Health Officer, Worksafe BC and the Provincial Government to ensure that our families and staff are safe. Some of the protocols that will be in place are as follows:
• Appointments must be booked in advance.
• The Covid-19 Screening Tool will be required by all families to fill out prior to entering the centre.
• Please wash or sanitize hands prior to starting sessions.
• Please maintain social distancing.
• Please refrain from socializing in congested areas such as hallways and at reception.
• PPE is not required, however if you are more comfortable wearing it, feel free to do so.
We may not be back to “normal” programming but the opportunity to see some of the kiddos and families in our centre once again, definitely make for very happy hearts around here. With this transition into a new phase, our goal as always, is to ensure that the children and families in our community are provided with the opportunity to grow, connect, learn, and be supported, whether it is virtual or face to face service delivery. Thanks again for your patience, kindness, and support over the last several months, it has really meant a great deal and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
Take good care,
Tana Millner/Executive Director
