The Supported Child Development Program (SCDP) is a community-based program that assists families of children with extra support needs to access inclusive childcare in licensed childcare settings.
The program serves children from birth till the year they are eligible to attend Kindergarten. Our motto is that EVERY CHILD BELONGS and that children of diverse abilities have a right to participate in childcare opportunities with their peers
About the program
Programs include licensed preschool, group daycare, family child care and school age care. SCDP serves children from birth to age 12 who have a developmental delay or disability and require extra support. A developmental delay or disability may affect physical, cognitive, communicative, social, emotional or behavioural development.
How to access the program.
Referrals are accepted from parents/guardians, doctors, nurses, social workers, other CDC team members, people that are concerned about a child’s development, or other organizations. Referrals should be made only with the parent or guardian’s knowledge and consent.
