Job Summary
Responsibilities & Abilities:

  • Under the direction of Early Learning Program Supervisor, the Early Childhood Educator will work as a CDCELP team member with other staff to provide quality inclusive child care, excellent service to families and building meaningful relationships as per our current program philosophy.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the Early Learning Program Team in the preschool /playcare classroom.
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with children, families, other staff and community members.
  • Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and CDC requirements Enthusiastic and positive nature that embraces respect, honesty, caring, and

Qualifications & Education:

  • Minimum of a BC Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Must provide certificate number)
  • Child Care First Aid certification (proof of certification required)
  • Knowledge of the British Columbia Early Learning Framework

Classification/Salary Information:

  • Grid 3 $30.40 to $37.87
  • Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 7.5 hours a day (includes .25 paid break and 1-hour unpaid lunch)
